Multi-trait multi environment analysis for stability in MABC lines of Chickpea (Cicer arietinum)

چکیده
Fusarium wilt (Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. ciceris) is a major disease that can cause up to 90% yield loss in Chickpea (Cicer arietinum L.). The presence of 8 physiological races Foc (0, 1A, 1B/C, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6) makes it complex task the development disease-resistant cultivar. Thus, Pyramiding 1, 4 was undertaken using WR 315 as donor Pusa 372 recurrent parent through Marker assisted backcross (MABC) breeding approach. A total 20 genotypes, including 17 MABC derived lines × 315, susceptible (Pusa 372), resistant check (WR 315) national (JG 16) were used. Multi-location testing advanced at different regions (Amla, Badnapur, Sehore, IARI-New Delhi) carried out randomised block design (RBD) two replications during 2020–21 winter (rabi) season. Usually, multi environment performed involving single trait, which provides lower reliability selection lines, compared multi-trait analysis. present study identifies highly stable with higher advantage MTSI (Multi trait stability index) GGE (Genotype main effect genotype interaction) biplot methodology. From analyses PC1 explains 84.97% PC2 8.96% variability. results revealed (G) 3 for multiple characters studied. But, based on GGE-mean value G 11, 12 identified better values. Based GGE, may be considered line traits superiority.

متن کاملCharacterising root trait variability in chickpea (Cicer arietinum L.) germplasm
Chickpea (Cicer arietinum L.) is an important grain legume crop but its sustainable production is challenged by predicted climate changes, which are likely to increase production limitations and uncertainty in yields. Characterising the variability in root architectural traits in a core collection of chickpea germplasm will provide the basis for breeding new germplasm with suitable root traits ...
متن کاملAnalysis of genotype × environment interaction for seed yield of promising Kabuli type chickpea (Cicer arietinum L.) promising lines
One of the most complicated issues in plant breeding programs is genotype by environment interaction. To evaluate seed yield stability of 18 chickpea promising lines, a field experiment was conducted using randomized complete block design with four replications in two cropping seasons (2018-19 and 2019-2020) in four research stations (Maragheh, Kurdistan West Azerbaijan and Hamedan), Iran. Comb...
متن کاملGENETIC DIVERGENCE IN CHICKPEA (Cicer arietinum L.)
Genetic diversity of 27 chickpea genotypes was studied through Mahalanobis D and Principal Component analysis. The genotypes under study fall into five clusters. The cluster II contained the highest number of genotypes (11) and Cluster I contained the lowest. Cluster I produced the highest mean value for number of pods per plant. The inter cluster distances were much higher than the intra clust...
متن کاملGlobal transcriptome analysis of developing chickpea (Cicer arietinum L.) seeds
Understanding developmental processes, especially in non-model crop plants, is extremely important in order to unravel unique mechanisms regulating development. Chickpea (C. arietinum L.) seeds are especially valued for their high carbohydrate and protein content. Therefore, in order to elucidate the mechanisms underlying seed development in chickpea, deep sequencing of transcriptomes from four...
